David Bander graduated from Suffolk University Law School in Boston in 1982. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in 1978 from Albany State University.
From 1985 to 1992, David was Senior Attorney and Corporate Secretary for General Electric Company. During this time, Dave was one of the national coordinators of all asbestos litigation filed against GE. He was also part of a group of lawyers that managed all product liability cases filed against GE; his team was responsible for actively managing cases – filed all over the country – and the attorneys handling them.
As a “company man,” David enjoyed his job, but on a personal level was very dissatisfied. In search of a more fulfilling career, David left General Electric in 1993 and started the law firm, with no secretary and no help. David states that “going to work representing people to get them what they deserved was the best decision I ever made in my life.”
David is accredited to practice before the Court of Veterans Appeals in Washington, DC. David handles Pro Bono cases for veterans at the request of the Massachusetts Bar Association, and also for legal organizations including:
- Neighborhood Legal Services in Lynn, MA
- Community Legal Services and Counseling Center in Cambridge, MA
- National Veterans Legal Services Program in Washington, DC
